Processor: Pentium 90-MHz or better
Operating system: Windows 95, 98 or NT
Web browser: "Standard" browsers only such as Netscape
or Internet Explorer. No beta versions or modified browsers. If you have
an Internet Service Provider such as AOL which uses a modified browser,
connect as usual, minimize (don't exit) AOL and then launch Netscape or
Internet Explorer to access Element K.
Minimum browser: Internet Explorer 4 or Netscape Communicator

Browser plug-ins: Verify that plug-ins are installed, Plug-in

Browser plug-ins: Shockwave is required for self-study courses.
Do not click on the Quick Plug-In Setup button on the Element K site as
this is for Windows users only. Instead, when you launch a self-study
course, if you do not have the Shockwave plug-in, you'll be prompted to
get it from the Macromedia site. Restart after installing the plug-in.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR OSX users: There is not yet a working Shockwave plug-in
for OSX. You will have to boot into OS 9.x to use Element K.

These plug-ins are required for use

For Windows operating systems
1. Open your browser
2. Go to: http://www.elementk.com
3. Log in and choose the course you'd like to take. When you launch a course
if you do not have the Shockwave plug-in, the Macromedia site will prompt you
to install it.

1. Open your browser-- We recommend the use of Internet Explorer
