Banner is an integrated database solution that is used by the Administrative Offices at Vassar College. Faculty, Students and Employees can access Banner data through Ask Banner and Banner Online.
The Banner system is comprised of several functional modules: General, Student, Advancement/Alumni, Finance, Human Resources/Position Control and Financial Aid. Banner is used to facilitate the tracking of prospective students through Advancement, hiring of employees, processing of purchase orders and invoices and payroll processing. Access to Banner requires an Administrative Account and approval by a BISC Committee member. Account requests can be sent to btech@vassar.edu. Current Release: Banner 8.
The Ask Banner website is the central entry point for Students, Faculty and Employees to view class schedules, class rosters and directories or link to Banner Online:
Banner Online (also known as Banner Self Service) gives members of the Vassar Community access to their personal records such as payroll information, address, benefits, etc.
• Banner Online is also used to enter and approve student and staff time sheets.
• Faculty use Banner Online to submit final grades.
• Budgets and Requisition processing are also available to authorized personnel through Banner Online.
