Employee Call Authorization Codes

How do I request a new Business Authorization Code (BAC)?

You must put in requests for Business Authorization Codes with your supervisor. If the request is approved, it must be submitted to telecom with the following information:

  1. Name of individual who will use the authorization code
  2. Department Name
  3. Budget Number
  4. Telephone extension of the individual who will use the authorization code (if applicable)

Please allow two business days for activation. If you lose your authorization code or think it may be compromised you should immediately notify your supervisor to deactivate the code.

Are calls made with my BAC reported to my department?

Yes. Departments will receive both a Departmental Summary and Departmental Call Detail report each month. Monthly invoices will be sent to both the department secretary and the Chair/Director.

Can I make personal long distance calls with my BAC?

No. You must request a Personal Authorization code (PAC). Employees should call STC at x4400 and request an authorization code. You may also email your request to billings@stcservices.com. You will need to provide the following information:

  1. Name of individual who will use the authorization code
  2. Department Name & Vassar College Mailbox number
  3. Banner ID or Social Security Number

Telephone extension of the individual who will use the authorization code (if applicable) STC will activate the authorization code and notify the individual user via email. Please allow two business days for activation.Employees will receive their personal telephone invoice via email on or around the 7th of the month. You will receive a remittance slip and envelope via the regular mail. Payment instructions will be included with the monthly invoice.

Payments can also be made on-line at https://www.stcservices.com/csp/stc/loginadmin.csp. Log in with your Employee ID and your PIN number.
